Catalina Golf Course is a nine-hole layout with a par of 32 and a length of 2,100 yards. The par-32 indicates a mix of par-3s and par-4s, giving it more variety than a pure executive course. There is no driving range. The course sits on the hilly terrain of Catalina Island, where ocean views and steep topography shape the playing experience.

The course is in Avalon, the main town on Catalina Island, accessible only by boat or helicopter from the Southern California mainland. Standard pricing keeps it reasonable for an island setting. The nearest mainland courses are on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Catalina Golf Course is one of the few island-based courses in California, and its remote location and compact size make it unlike any other course in the state.
