Mayacama is an 18-hole, par-72 course measuring 6,759 yards. The layout is in the hills north of Santa Rosa, in Sonoma County wine country. The terrain includes natural ravines and oak woodlands common to this part of Northern California. A driving range is on the property.

Elite pricing and private membership put Mayacama at the top tier of Sonoma County golf. The course is northeast of Santa Rosa, away from the city center. Bennett Valley Golf Course and The Fountaingrove Club are among the closer alternatives in the Santa Rosa area. Foxtail Golf Club is also nearby.
