River Oaks Golf Club

River Oaks Golf Club is an 18-hole course playing 6,620 yards at par 71. A driving range is on site. The layout is in the Sacramento Valley lowlands where the Bear and Feather rivers converge, and the flat river-bottom terrain keeps the course walkable. Mature oaks along the fairways are consistent with the course’s name.

The club is in Nicolaus, a small community roughly 30 miles north of downtown Sacramento in the agricultural flatlands of Sutter County. Pricing is at the premium level. Plumas Lake Golf Club and Teal Bend Golf Course are nearby options, while several more courses cluster closer to Sacramento to the south. The rural setting is quieter than the urban courses in the capital region.
