Applewood Golf Course

Applewood Golf Course has been a popular family-friendly destination in Golden since Press Maxwell designed it in 1961. The 18-hole, par-71 layout plays 5,992 yards and features gentle elevation changes and water hazards set against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Maxwell preserved much of the natural terrain, and wildlife sightings remain common along the fairways.

The course includes a full-size driving range and employs some of the Denver metro area’s top instructors. At under 6,000 yards, Applewood is shorter than many area courses, making it approachable for newer players while still requiring accuracy off the tee. Green fees are in the standard range for the area.
