Grand Lake Golf Course

Grand Lake Golf Course holds the distinction of being the nation’s highest-altitude golf course with grass greens, sitting at 8,420 feet on the border of Rocky Mountain National Park. The 18-hole, par-72 layout plays 6,542 yards and is operated by the Grand Lake Metropolitan Recreation District. The thin air at this elevation adds significant carry to every shot.

The course is open seasonally, typically from late May through early October, depending on snowfall. Grand Lake is on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park, accessible via Trail Ridge Road from Estes Park or Highway 40 from the south. The mountain backdrop and alpine conditions give the course a character unlike anything on the Front Range.
