Haystack Mountain Golf Course was a nine-hole executive course on Niwot Road near Longmont, Colorado, operated by the Ebel family since its opening in 1966. The par-32 layout played 2,153 yards from its longest tees with a links-style feel and views of the Flatirons. A driving range was also on the property.
The course closed after developer Michael Markel purchased the roughly 100-acre site for about $6 million, with plans to divide it into residential parcels. The closure ended more than five decades of play at one of Boulder County’s more affordable and accessible golf options. The course is no longer in operation.
