Plainsman Golf Club

Plainsman Golf Club is a nine-hole public course near Kirk, a tiny community in Yuma County on Colorado’s far eastern plains, close to the Kansas border. The course sits on County Road 4, surrounded by farmland and open prairie. There is no driving range on the property.

Kirk has a population of under 100, making Plainsman one of the most remote and least-trafficked courses in Colorado. The flat terrain and wide-open setting are typical of high plains golf, and the course draws players from the scattered agricultural towns in the area. Green fees and amenities are minimal, reflecting the small-scale operation. It is one of the few remaining courses serving this corner of the state.
