Southington Country Club

Southington Country Club is a public par-71 course set in the Apple Valley between the Meriden and Waterbury mountain ranges in Plantsville. The front nine runs over hilly, open terrain, while the narrower back nine flattens out and brings water into play frequently. Across the full 18 holes, water hazards affect 10 of them, making club selection and accuracy critical on approach shots.

The facility includes a fully stocked pro shop and The Back Nine Tavern, a full-service restaurant with a sports bar, banquet room, and an outdoor patio overlooking the front nine. The tavern is open year-round to the public regardless of golf activity. At 5,675 yards, the course plays shorter than many area competitors, but the combination of water, terrain changes, and tight back-nine fairways provides a well-rounded test.
