American Legion Golf Course

American Legion Golf Course plays 18 holes at 5,634 yards and par 70. There is no driving range. The course is one of the shorter 18-hole layouts in the region, and the par of 70 means fewer long holes overall. Central Indiana’s flat till plain provides the foundation for the course, with little natural elevation change across the routing.

The course is on South LaFountain Street in Kokomo, the Howard County seat, about 60 miles north of Indianapolis. The American Legion affiliation gives the club a community-service orientation, and economy pricing keeps it among the most affordable options in the Kokomo area. The city has several courses, and American Legion fills the role of a no-frills, walkable 18 for local players. Golf season runs from April through October.
