Downs Golf Club

Downs Golf Club is a nine-hole course located five miles north of Downs in north-central Kansas. The layout plays 2,700 yards from the longest tees at par 35 and features sand greens, a style once common across rural Kansas courses. A putting green is available for practice, though there is no driving range.

The course is open to the public and operates at economy-level pricing. Sand greens require a different approach than traditional bent grass, as players use a drag to smooth the surface before putting. Downs Golf Club offers a straightforward round of golf in a quiet, small-town setting.
