Northwood Hills Golf Club

Northwood Hills Golf Club started as a nine-hole layout in the late 1960s, when the original Northwood Country Club opened with a turn-of-the-century hunting lodge serving as the clubhouse. A second nine was added in the mid-1980s, creating the 18-hole, par-72 course that plays 6,440 yards today. The expansion took advantage of terrain that offers more elevation change than most courses in the Shreveport-Bossier City area.

The club operates as a semi-private facility, welcoming both members and public play. The hilly routing requires thoughtful club selection and creates uneven lies that flat-terrain golfers may not be accustomed to. A driving range provides practice space. Standard green fees keep the course competitive with other public options in northwest Louisiana. Northwood Hills sits in north Shreveport, convenient to the Cross Lake area and the northern suburbs.
