Royal Oaks Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course measuring 6,516 yards. The yardage provides a solid test from the back tees, and the standard par-72 format delivers a balanced routing of par 3s, 4s, and 5s. There is no driving range on the property.

The club is in Southbridge, a town in Worcester County in the south-central part of Massachusetts near the Connecticut border. The terrain in this area is hilly and wooded, typical of the inland Worcester County geography. Royal Oaks is one of a few courses serving the Southbridge and Sturbridge corridor. The playing season runs from April through November, and the rural setting gives the course a quieter atmosphere than courses closer to the Boston or Worcester metro areas.
