Grant City Golf Course

Grant City Golf Course is a nine-hole layout in Worth County, one of Missouri’s least populated counties near the Iowa border. The course plays 2,243 yards at par 33 and features sand greens, a holdover from an era when many small-town courses could not justify the cost of maintaining grass putting surfaces. It remains open to the public at economy rates.

On-site amenities include a practice area for driving and putting, lockers, and a small pro shop. The course draws players from the surrounding rural communities who value an inexpensive, low-key place to play. Sand greens require a different touch than grass, and the short yardage makes this a quick round for golfers passing through northwest Missouri.
