Lake of the Woods Golf Course

Lake of the Woods Golf Course is one of two municipal courses in Columbia, Missouri, located on the east side of town along Saint Charles Road. The 18-hole layout covers 145 acres and plays 6,149 yards from the back tees at par 71. Zoysia fairways and bentgrass greens are irrigated by a tee-to-green watering system, keeping conditions consistent through the season. Three sets of tees, mature trees, bunkers, and lakes add strategic variety.

The course is open year-round and offers affordable rates through the city’s Parks and Recreation Department. A driving range, clubhouse with concessions, fishing lake, and outdoor pool round out the Lake of the Woods Recreation Area. The facility also provides a solo-rider golf cart for players with limited mobility. Paired with L.A. Nickell on the opposite side of town, it gives Columbia two solid public golf options.
