Roy L. Beck Municipal Golf Course exists because of a generous bequest. Mr. Roy L. Beck left his property to the city of Eminence with the condition that it be turned into a golf course. The city made it work, and Bob Stevens designed the nine-hole layout that opened in the late 1990s. The par-36 course plays 2,758 yards through the Ozark hills of Shannon County.
The city maintains the course, and Sammy’s Club House provides a casual spot for sandwiches, hot dogs, and drinks after a round. A driving range offers warm-up space on-site. Eminence is a popular base for floating the Jacks Fork and Current rivers, and the golf course adds a recreation option beyond the water. Green fees are priced at economy level, consistent with the area.
