Cottonwood Hills

Bob Quick designed and built Cottonwood Hills from scratch, opening the 18-hole championship course in 1986 on Bozeman’s west side along the Gallatin River. Quick drafted the layout on quarter-inch graph paper and, with his brother Harley, installed all the irrigation piping and electrical systems by hand. The par-72 course stretches 7,053 yards from the tips and sits in a broad river valley with mountain views in every direction.

The facility also features a 9-hole executive par-3 course measuring 1,181 yards, making it a versatile stop for golfers of all skill levels. Quick built each green to PGA specifications, and the championship layout rewards both distance and shot placement across its gently rolling terrain. A driving range and practice greens complete the complex.
