Diamond Creek

Diamond Creek is an elite private 18-hole course in Banner Elk, in the High Country of Avery County at roughly 4,000 feet of elevation. The par 70 layout stretches an imposing 7,175 yards from the tips, though the thin mountain air allows the ball to travel farther than at sea level. A driving range is on the property.

The course is owned by the Friedkin Group and plays through a narrow mountain valley with creeks, rock outcroppings, and old-growth forests shaping the routing. Dramatic elevation changes are constant, and several holes follow the Elk River or its tributaries. Banner Elk is home to multiple high-end golf communities, and Diamond Creek is among the most exclusive in the region.
