Methodist University Downback Golf Course

Methodist University Downback Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-69 layout on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville, part of the Methodist University campus. The course plays 6,011 yards and supports the university’s Professional Golf Management (PGM) program, one of the accredited PGA Golf Management programs in the country. A driving range is on site.

The Downback course serves both as a training ground for PGM students and as a playable facility for the Fayetteville community. King’s Grant, Highland Country Club, and Anderson Creek are all within a short drive. The par-69 card and moderate yardage make it a less punishing test than some of the longer Sandhills courses nearby, and the university connection gives it a distinct identity in the Fayetteville golf market.
