Reserve Club At St James Plantation

The Reserve Club is one of several courses within St. James Plantation, a large coastal community near Southport in Brunswick County. At 7,212 yards and par 72, it is the longest of the St. James courses. The layout moves through maritime forest, past tidal marshes, and along the Intracoastal Waterway, giving it a distinctly coastal feel. A driving range supports practice for members.

Designed for the luxury tier, the course features wide fairways off the tee but demands accuracy on approaches to well-defended greens. Native grasses and wetland areas border several holes, and salt air can affect ball flight on exposed sections. The Reserve Club is private, serving residents of St. James Plantation and their guests. Other courses in the community include the Founders Club, Players Club, and Members Club.
