The Lakes Country Club

The Lakes Country Club is an 18-hole course in the Southport area of Brunswick County, near the St. James Plantation community. Playing 6,762 yards at par 72, the layout features lakes and coastal lowland terrain typical of southeastern North Carolina. There is no driving range on the property.

Green fees are at the economy level, making it a more accessible option among the Brunswick County courses. The Southport area has a high concentration of golf, with Bald Head Island Club, Founders Club at St. James Plantation, and Players Club at St. James all within a few miles. The Lakes provides a full-length test at a lower price point than many of its neighbors along the lower Cape Fear coast.
