Buffalo Ridge Golf Course

Buffalo Ridge Golf Course began construction in 1964 and held its grand opening in August 1966 as the first golf course in Kearney. The 9-hole public layout spreads across 69 acres on the northeast side of town, playing 2,988 yards at par 36. Bentgrass greens and bluegrass fairways create solid playing surfaces, and the tame rough keeps the course forgiving. Long par threes and well-shaped par fours and fives reward players who can work the ball in both directions.

Walking and riding are both permitted, with pull carts and motorized carts available for rent. A driving range is on site, and tee times are suggested two days in advance. The clubhouse serves beverages, appetizers, pizza, and other casual fare. Located less than two miles from downtown Kearney, Buffalo Ridge remains a convenient and affordable public option in the I-80 corridor.
