Lakeside Golf Club

Lakeside Golf Club began as a 9-hole course in 1963 along Highway 283 near Elwood and expanded to a full 18-hole layout in 1990. The course plays 6,176 yards at par 72, with bentgrass greens, bentgrass tee boxes, and fairways of bluegrass and ryegrass. Tree-lined fairways and bunkers give the layout a country club feel, and the conditioning reflects its premium green fee level.

The facility includes a driving range, practice green, and practice bunker. Tee times are not required on weekdays but are recommended two to three days in advance for weekend play. Lakeside is open to the public and draws players from across the Gosper and Dawson County area, including visitors to nearby Johnson Lake. The course’s steady maintenance program keeps it among the better-conditioned options in south-central Nebraska.
