Eagle Valley Golf Course

Eagle Valley Golf Course is a municipal facility in Carson City that began in 1974 when the city acquired land and built the East Course, irrigating it with treated wastewater effluent in response to an EPA mandate. The East Course plays 6,851 yards at par 72 and features a walker-friendly layout set in the foothills just minutes from Lake Tahoe, Virginia City, and Reno. In 1985, Carson City invested $4 million to add the West Course, a desert links-style layout lined with native desert vegetation and strategic water hazards.

Together the two 18-hole courses make Eagle Valley one of the largest municipal golf operations in northern Nevada. The East Course suits a wide range of skill levels with its open design, while the West Course presents a stiffer test with its links-inspired holes. The facility includes a driving range, and both courses are open to the public year-round, weather permitting.
