The Rockaway Hunting Club

The Rockaway Hunting Club is a private 18-hole course playing 6,251 yards at a par of 70. A driving range is available on the grounds. The course is on Ocean Avenue in Lawrence, along the South Shore of Long Island in Nassau County, close to the Atlantic coast.

The club is one of several private courses concentrated in the Five Towns area of southwestern Nassau County. The Woodmere Club, Lawrence Yacht and Country Club, and Seawane Club are all within a few miles. The proximity to the ocean and the flat coastal terrain give South Shore courses a different character from the wooded layouts found further inland on Long Island.
