About This Course
Jimmie Austin Golf Course is an 18-hole municipal layout in Seminole that traces its origins to 1920, when it opened as a 9-hole course. In 1975, local oil and gas contractor Jimmie Austin partnered with the city to fund and build a back nine, transforming it into a full 18-hole venue. The course was subsequently renamed in his honor. Austin, who did not take up golf until his late forties, founded the Seminole Golf Foundation and championed youth golf programs in the area.
The par-71 layout plays 6,542 yards from the back tees at economy-level green fees, making it one of the more affordable regulation-length courses in central Oklahoma. No driving range is available on site. The course sits on Fairway Street on the east side of Seminole in Seminole County, roughly midway between Oklahoma City and McAlester along the US-270 corridor.
