Crooked River Ranch

Crooked River Ranch Golf Course is an 18-hole public layout perched on a basalt shelf between Madras and Redmond in central Oregon. The par-71 course plays 5,661 yards and is best known for its No. 5 canyon hole, widely regarded as one of the most spectacular in the state. From an elevated tee box, players must carry their drive over a corner of the Crooked River Canyon to reach a green just 220 yards away, with the river winding far below.

Beyond the signature fifth, the course features an open parkland design with views of the surrounding canyon walls. It serves as the home course for Redmond High School and hosts junior camps for beginning and intermediate players, along with women’s clinics. A driving range and full practice facilities round out the amenities at this affordable central Oregon destination.
