High Meadows Country Club

High Meadows Country Club is a nine-hole course playing 3,252 yards with a par of 36 on Highway 71 outside Abbeville. The layout covers hilly Piedmont terrain with noticeable elevation changes from tee to green, and the fairways are framed by hardwoods and pines typical of the western South Carolina foothills. The compact nine-hole format allows for a quick round, and many regulars play 18 by going around twice with different tee placements.

The club operates at economy pricing and has a driving range. Abbeville is a small historic town known as the “birthplace and deathbed of the Confederacy,” and High Meadows serves as the primary golf facility for this rural corner of the Upstate. Golf options are limited in Abbeville County, so the club draws players from a wide area including nearby Due West, Calhoun Falls, and the lake communities around Russell and Hartwell.
