Old Carolina Golf Club

Old Carolina Golf Club is a nine-hole course playing 3,400 yards with a par of 36 on Old Carolina Drive in Bluffton. The layout runs through Lowcountry terrain with live oaks and palmettos typical of the Hilton Head corridor. The nine-hole format provides a shorter round option in an area dominated by full 18-hole resort and private courses, and the 3,400-yard length gives it a respectable distance for a nine-hole layout.

The club does not have a driving range. Bluffton sits on the mainland side of the bridge to Hilton Head Island, and Old Carolina is one of several golf options along the Highway 278 corridor. The course serves as a convenient option for players who want a quick round without committing to the time and expense of a full 18 at one of the area’s higher-end facilities. The Bluffton market has grown rapidly, and Old Carolina provides a lower-key alternative to the gated-community courses nearby.
