The Links at Lakewood plays 6,857 yards through the Green View Parkway area of Sumter. The par 72 course has a links-influenced design with open sight lines, mounded fairway edges, and relatively few trees compared to the heavily wooded courses more common in this part of the state. Wind plays a larger role here because of the open terrain, and the well-bunkered greens require precise iron play.

The affordable pricing and nearly 6,900 yards of length make Lakewood one of the better values in the Sumter area, serving both local players and personnel from nearby Shaw Air Force Base.
