Edgemont Golf Club, Edgemont Course

Edgemont Golf Club is a compact nine-hole course on the southern edge of the Black Hills, open to the public since the mid-1980s. The par-34 layout plays 2,281 yards from the back tees over bent grass fairways and greens, with a handful of bunkers and water hazards adding variety to the short track. The course sits at roughly 3,400 feet of elevation near the Cheyenne River valley, giving players wide views of the surrounding pine ridges.

Green fees here are among the most affordable in the state, and the relaxed atmosphere suits casual rounds and family outings. The course typically operates from June through late August with limited hours. Edgemont itself is a small ranching community about 50 miles south of Custer, making this a convenient stop for golfers passing through the southern Black Hills region.
