Hillsview Golf Course

Hillsview Golf Course is Pierre’s municipal layout, located along the bluffs of the Missouri River on Highway 34. The 18-hole par-72 design stretches to 6,828 yards from the black tees and features bent grass greens with bluegrass fairways and tee boxes. Four sets of tees (black, gold, silver, and white) accommodate a range of skill levels, and the course is open to the public.

As the state capital’s primary golf facility, Hillsview draws steady play from legislators, state employees, and residents throughout the season. A driving range and practice area are on site. The blufftop location provides rolling terrain with occasional views toward the river valley, and wind off the open prairie keeps scoring honest. Pierre sits near the geographic center of the state, making Hillsview a logical stop for golfers traveling across South Dakota on Interstate 90 or US Highway 83.
