Madison Golf & Country Club

Madison Golf and Country Club is a semi-private 18-hole course in Lake County. The layout plays 6,162 yards at par 71 over rolling terrain in Lake County, with views of Lake Herman providing a backdrop on several holes. The course integrates subtle elevation changes with natural woodland and grassland areas, and strategically placed bunkers add challenge alongside ponds, creeks, and other water features. A driving range and pro shop are on site.

Though semi-private, the course is open to public play. Madison is home to Dakota State University, and the club serves both the college town and the surrounding Lake Madison recreational area. The varied hole designs reward shot-making over raw distance, and the shorter overall yardage compared to many 18-hole courses makes it approachable for mid-handicap players while still testing low-handicappers through its green complexes and water hazards.
