Murdo Golf Course

Murdo Golf Course is located in Jones County, right along Interstate 90 in one of the most sparsely populated stretches of central South Dakota. The nine-hole course carries a par of 36 and operates from March through November. Walking is allowed, carts are available, and a pitching/chipping area plus putting green provide basic practice options. Green fees are economy-priced, and the course is open to the public.

Murdo is a common stopping point for travelers crossing South Dakota on I-90, sitting roughly halfway between Sioux Falls and Rapid City. The town is also known as the gateway to the Pioneer Auto Show. The golf course gives both residents and road-trippers a chance to stretch their legs on the fairways. Prairie winds and open terrain define the playing experience, and the relaxed pace of a small-town nine-hole course makes for a quick, enjoyable round.
