Southern Hills Golf Course

Southern Hills Golf Course is a municipal course in Hot Springs, about 50 miles south of Rapid City and just south of Custer State Park. The 18-hole layout plays 5,905 yards at par 70, shorter than many full-length courses but shaped by the natural Black Hills terrain into a varied and visually striking round.

Green fees run $39 for nine holes and $54 for 18, with carts available for $15 to $20. A driving range supports practice before the round. Southern Hills is a public facility owned by the city of Hot Springs and benefits from its location in one of the more scenic parts of the state. Golfers passing through the Southern Black Hills will find it a worthwhile stop.
