First Tee of Chesterfield

First Tee of Chesterfield opened in August 2000 as the twentieth First Tee programming location in the nation. Lester George donated his design services to create the 18-hole, par-66 layout on Hunting Creek Drive in southern Richmond. The course plays 4,608 yards, shorter than a regulation track but long enough to require full swings on most holes. It provides a legitimate golf experience while remaining approachable for developing players.

The facility is part of First Tee - Greater Richmond, which uses golf as a vehicle for youth character development programs. A driving range is on-site for practice. Standard green fees fund the organization’s mission. The course is open to the public, not just program participants, making it a solid option for Richmond-area golfers who want a quicker round or a less intimidating layout than the area’s full-length courses.
