Lakeview Golf Club

Lakeview Golf Club is a 27-hole public facility east of Harrisonburg in the Shenandoah Valley, with three distinct nine-hole courses: Lake, Peak, and Mountain. The Lake nine, the oldest, was completed in the late 1960s and runs along Shenlake Drive past two spring-fed irrigation ponds, with water fronting the ninth green. The Peak course demands accuracy through tight, tree-lined fairways. Readers of the Daily News-Record voted Lakeview “Best of the Valley” for golf in 2013 and 2014.

A driving range supports the facility. The three-nine setup gives golfers the option of playing any 18-hole combination, which adds variety across repeat visits. Lakeview’s location near James Madison University makes it a regular stop for local golfers and college students, and it serves as the primary public course option in the Harrisonburg area.
