Medal of Honor Golf Course

Medal of Honor Golf Course at Marine Corps Base Quantico traces its origins to 1930, when Marine construction personnel built a six-hole layout for the Officers’ Club. The course expanded to nine holes with dual tee boxes around 1934 under superintendent Ernest Stanley, who managed the grounds from 1933 to 1976. It grew to 18 holes in the mid-1940s and was renamed in 1980 to honor Marines who earned the Medal of Honor.

The par-72 course plays 6,711 yards and is open year-round to active duty, retired military, DoD civilians, and authorized guests. Facilities include a lighted driving range, Swing Lab training center, practice putting green, and pro shop. Access requires base entry credentials. The course sits along the Potomac River corridor between Fredericksburg and Washington, D.C.
